Ruth is a dedicated Senior Nursing Professional with 38 years of experience. She specialises in neurological trauma and elective neuro-surgery critical care. Having extensive experience in the assessment and treatment of patients with a broad variety of complex trauma, including brain injury, both acquired and traumatic, stroke, multiple sclerosis, epilepsy, spina bifida and amputees. Ruth has also managed complex orthopaedic injury. She is often involved managing patients with complex needs, such as tracheostomies, PEG feeding tubes and overnight continuous positive airway pressure ventilation (CPAP).

As a TG Expert Witness, Ruth leverages the skills and expertise generated during her career of almost four decades to provide accurate, holistic and impartial Care, Aids and Equipment and liability reports for both claimant and defendant.  This experience enables Ruth to provide authoritative insight on nursing proficiency levels regarding tissue viability and wound care, fall risks, safe handling, intravenous cannulation, medication administration, catheterisation and end-of-life care.
