Karly Fairclough

Karly is an accomplished Registered Adult Nurse with over a decade of experience across both private and public sectors.
Presently, Karly is a specialist complex care nurse providing care and support, at home, to individuals, both adult and paediatric, with a wide range of neurological and traumatic injuries including cerebral palsy and brain injury. Her experience includes paediatric complex care which involves tracheostomy management, moving and handling, including complex nursing skills. She has led a wide variety of training and activity, on subjects including basic and immediate life support, tracheotomy care, suctioning and PEG/NG feeding. Previously, Karly worked as an enteral and parenteral clinical nurse advisor.
Having worked at the Ramsey Neurological hospital, Karly managed a case load of patients with complex needs, including brain and spinal injury. Additionally, Karly has managed patients with cognitive deficit, where she was involved in ongoing care and facilitating safe step down.
She has provided end of life care both at home and within hospice settings, as a specialist nurse and has worked with teenagers and younger adults, with life limiting illnesses
Working with individuals with visual impairment, Karly has assisted to maximise independent living skills offering support and advice within home settings, providing one to one care, alongside a multi-disciplinary team.
Karly leverages her wealth of clinical expertise to provide thorough, accurate and insightful Care reports which includes necessary Aids and Equipment. She is fully trained in Civil Procedure Rules and diligently maintains her continuing professional development.
