Allison is an accomplished expert witness who has given Court evidence on a number of occasions. She is experienced in case management, advising on safe handling and recommending appropriate and suitable equipment for clients with catastrophic injuries. Her experience of cases extends to within Asia and Europe.
Allison undertakes both Quantum and Liability reports, relating to standards of nursing and care, acceptable practice and risk management, for both claimants and defendants.
She has managed several nursing agencies. As a case manager for a specialist domiciliary care provider for people with complex physical disabilities, Allison took the lead role in developing and managing safer handling systems and policies.
Specialist areas of instructions received include people who have unfortunately suffered visual impairment, acquired brain injury, spinal cord injury and amputations etc.
Allison demonstrates extensive experience in the assessment of both need and risk to facilitate independent living enablement, based on goal-planning models. This is supported with a thorough understanding and experience of NHS, Social Service Departments and other bodies involved in rehabilitation and care services aligned with an extensive knowledge of aids and equipment.
