As a dedicated and highly skilled Occupational Therapist, Claire has broad experience spanning local authority, hospital and community settings. She has co-ordinated care packages for individuals with brain injury, stroke and long-term neurological conditions such as dementia, Alzheimer’s, Multiple Sclerosis and Motor Neurone Disease for both intermediate and end of life care. Having managed complex presentations including spinal injury and amputation, she is able to implement, co-ordinate, plan and review treatment programmes and care packages. She is adept in managing the assessment of children with complex needs, including cerebral palsy and brain injury. Claire has experience in recommending home adaptations and equipment needs. Her work includes individuals with physical and sensory deficits and learning disability.
As part of the Community Rehabilitation Team, Claire implemented pre-surgical intervention groups facilitating home visits and appropriate equipment for faster rehabilitation. Having experience of working alongside the NHS and Department of Work and Pensions, Claire has forged strategies to assist individuals with workplace assessments and return to work ambitions.
Claire, as a TG Associate, leverages her wealth of clinical expertise to provide objective, analytical and evidence-based Care and Equipment reports.
