Clare Acton

Clare is a clinical nurse specialist in tissue viability, vascular and dermatology, wound care and IV management with over three decades of experience across general nursing, community and acute care settings.

Since 2018, Clare has held the post of Head of Nursing, Tissue Viability and IV Services at Kent Community NHS Foundation Trust. Previously she spearheaded the set-up and delivery of the renowned Tissue Viability Service at Guy and Thomas NHS Foundation Trust. Within this role, she managed the delivery of a wide range of support across a variety of units, including plastic surgery, dermatology, head and neck surgery, intensive care, paediatrics and failure to refer to appropriate services with timely escalation. Clare is an experienced independent practitioner and is highly qualified in sharp debridement, wound management and vascular leg ulcer assessment.

She has extensive experience in utilising her specialist clinical knowledge to produce accurate, thorough, and insightful reports, in relation to Liability, Breach of Duty for both claimant and defendant in addition to serving as an expert witness in coroner cases. As a TG Associate, Clare is fully trained in Civil Procedure Rules, including relevant revisions as they arise, and undertakes a variety of continuing professional development to ensure a thorough knowledge of the latest innovations and best practices.

Bethany Bishop

RN

Bethany is an experienced senior clinical Nurse who has worked in both the NHS and private hospitals for over 30 years.

Such experience includes being fully proficient with both quality and regulatory structures throughout clinical areas including ICU, renal transplants, theatre recovery and anaesthetic pre-assessment wards.

She prepares reports for claimants and defendants and as a single joint expert in liability cases, relating to standards of nursing and care, acceptable practice and risk management.
