Colin Beacock

Colin is an accomplished expert witness who has given court evidence on a number of occasions in both Quantum and Liability cases.
Colin has wide experience in the management of people with learning difficulties, acquired brain injury and mental health issues. He is often instructed on cases involving catastrophic injuries across a range of complex and intense needs, preparing reports on both care and aids and equipment requirements.
He is an effective Case Manager with proven experience ranging from the immediate needs assessment through to the creation of rehabilitation programmes aimed at maximising both the independence and recovery of the client.
As a specialist adviser and training consultant in the independent sector, Colin has also been a senior tutor in nursing for people with learning disabilities. He also held posts as an honorary visiting research fellow at De Montfort University, honorary visiting lecturer at the University of Hull and specialist adviser on physical interventions at the National Institute for Clinical Excellence.
As an associate of Tessa Gough Associates, Colin undertakes both Quantum and Liability reports, relating to standards of nursing and care, acceptable practice and risk management, for both claimants and defendants.
