Eileen Byron, RGN, ANP

Eileen has over 25 years’ experience within the NHS, private and industry sectors. As a Registered Nurse/Advanced Nurse Practitioner and Independent Prescriber with strong clinical, operational and strategic leadership experience. Eileen has a detailed understanding of all clinical governance and competency requirements within hospital, private and general practice, including community urgent care. Her career has spanned a diverse range of clinical settings, through roles within general practice, accident and emergency, acute medicine, major trauma and aesthetics. This experience enables Eileen to provide authoritative insight on nursing proficiency levels regarding tissue viability and wound care, fall risks, safe handling, intravenous cannulation, medication administration and catheterisation.

As a qualified Advanced Nurse Practitioner, Eileen is proficient in autonomous clinical practice, managing complete episodes of care for those with chronic illness and those with underlying complex presentations, for both adults and children. This includes the prescribing of medications, ordering and interpreting a wide range of diagnostic tests.  Eileen also upholds standards in aesthetic practice, performing a wide range of evidence based non-surgical and minimally invasive medical treatments.

As a TG Associate, Eileen is equipped with a comprehensive understanding of the NMC Code and the scope and competencies required of both a Registered Nurse and an autonomous Advanced Nurse/Clinical Practitioner, preparing Liability and Short Form Reports for claimants and defendants, relating to standards of nursing and care, acceptable practice and risk management. She is fully trained in Civil Procedure Rules and diligently maintains her continuing professional development.

Bethany is an experienced senior clinical Nurse who has worked in both the NHS and private hospitals for over 30 years.

Such experience includes being fully proficient with both quality and regulatory structures throughout clinical areas including ICU, renal transplants, theatre recovery and anaesthetic pre-assessment wards.

She prepares reports for claimants and defendants and as a single joint expert in liability cases, relating to standards of nursing and care, acceptable practice and risk management.
