Emily is an accomplished nursing professional with over 12 years of experience across a diverse range of clinical and community environments. During this time, Emily has assessed and provided care for patients with a broad range of injuries, amputations, and medical conditions across orthopaedic, Surgical, spinal and neurological wards, including, acute medical and critical care units.
Being highly proficient in the assessment and treatment of critically ill patients with complex neurological conditions, including traumatic brain injury, and stroke, Emily also has significant experience providing pre- and post-operative care, managing paralysed spinal injury patients and delivering end of life care, including those with industrial diseases.
Emily brings a rigorous knowledge of nursing policies, procedures, quality standards and regulatory requirements. She is proficient in performing a variety of procedures, including tracheostomy care, venepuncture, cannulation, continuous renal replacement therapy, catheterisation and aseptic non-touch techniques.
As a TG Expert Witness, Emily utilises her holistic nursing expertise to provide accurate, balanced and evidence-based reports for both Breach of Duty and Care which includes necessary aids and equipment.
