Hayley Wells

Hayley is a Safeguarding Specialist Midwife with over a decade of experience across NHS settings. In her current role she holds responsibility for ensuring full alignment of service delivery within midwifery and led the development and management of services whilst ensuring regulatory compliance. She brings a rigorous knowledge of quality and regulatory structures across all clinical areas, with experience in child protection, escalation, safeguarding supervision, and leadership.

 

Having extensive knowledge in midwifery cases, Hayley confidently communicates with members of the multi-disciplinary team, including Police, Social Care, Drug Support Workers, Charities and other organisations. She also has significant experience in report writing, audits, reviews, guideline writing, as well as discussions surrounding processes and procedures that can be adapted or changed to support the safeguarding department and provide autonomy and empower colleagues.

 

A Community Midwife for over 11 years, having been attached to a local GP surgery, Hayley managed antenatal clinics and provided antenatal care in line with local and national policies and guidelines. Her role included the delivery of postnatal care for families and new-borns. Her experience includes the management of high risk labour and birth, emergency intervention and birthing injury such as shoulder dystocia, hip dysplasia, fractured clavicle, Erbs palsy and hypoxia.

 

As a TG Associate, Hayley leverages a comprehensive knowledge of nursing and care standards, acceptable practice, and risk management to provide thorough and objective Midwifery Liability and Short Form Reports for claimants and defendants as a single joint expert.

Bethany is an experienced senior clinical Nurse who has worked in both the NHS and private hospitals for over 30 years.

Such experience includes being fully proficient with both quality and regulatory structures throughout clinical areas including ICU, renal transplants, theatre recovery and anaesthetic pre-assessment wards.

She prepares reports for claimants and defendants and as a single joint expert in liability cases, relating to standards of nursing and care, acceptable practice and risk management.
