Paramedic Expert Witnesses Now Available to Instruct

Tessa Gough Associates is pleased to announce that paramedic expert witnesses are now available to instruct.

Following feedback from those who work with us, we have recruited a specialist team of senior paramedics and Advanced Paramedic Practitioners (APPs) to provide expert witness reports across our existing services — including Liability, Quantum, Coroner, and Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service (COPFS) Reports.

The Expanding Role of the Paramedic

Healthcare delivery within the NHS has changed significantly over the past decade. Paramedics are now registered healthcare professionals regulated by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), held to the same professional and regulatory standards as other practitioners.

The paramedic role has expanded beyond emergency response, too. Today, paramedics work across emergency departments, urgent treatment centres, walk-in centres, general practice, prisons, community services, and specialist care settings.

Since 2018, appropriately qualified paramedics have also been able to independently prescribe medications (following postgraduate training and competency assessment).
