  • Currently employed with nursing agencies specialising in Complex Care in the community with over 7 years’ experience.
  • 9 years’ experience at Cambridge University Hospital as a Staff Nurse in Neuro and General Critical Care. Neuro Critical Care experience included specialising in acquired, traumatic and congenital brain injury, neuro-medical disorders and spinal injuries. General Intensive Care experience includes organ transplants (including liver), respiratory failure, sepsis, post major surgical care and renal failure.
  • During this time, I developed a special interest in wound care as the lead wound care link nurse for adult Intensive Care.
  • 13 years with Cambridge University, Academic Neurosurgery as a Research Sister, specialising in Traumatic brain injury.
  • 3 years at Cambridge University Hospital as a Clinical Nurse Practitioner specialising in Traumatic brain injury.

I have been nursing for over 35 years, with 7 years’ experience working with complex care in the community clients for Nursing agencies and over 25 at Cambridge University hospital.

I have been fortunate to have over 10 years’ experience caring for and studying patients with traumatic brain injury. As part of an international team striving to improve treatment and understand risk factors for brain injury, it has enabled me to develop a meticulous attention to detail and the ability to understand patients’ needs from multiple perspectives. I have also gained extensive experience working with a multi- disciplinary team to achieve mutual goals.

I have enjoyed the flexibility of my career, gaining a wide range of expertise to be able to support clients to ensure they not only receive the best care possible but also quality of life.
