- I have 22 years experience as an Occupational Therapist across a variety of clinical areas covering acute, rehabilitation and community patient settings.
- For the past 6 years I have worked in a community therapy team, which involves triage, supporting hospital discharges and ongoing rehabilitation, crisis management and hospital avoidance, seating and positioning assessments and input to discharge to assess beds. This has involved working closely with local authorities and external agencies and patients and family members to make recommendations for current and future care needs and aids and equipment as well as making ongoing referrals and signposting to relevant services.
- Throughout my career, I have developed invaluable knowledge and skills with adults across a range of clinical areas including complex and multiple pathologies, specifically brain injury and stroke, orthopedics and amputees, long term neurological conditions and palliative and end of life care.
With extensive experience in Occupational Therapy, I am passionate about the profession’s growth and how it has continuously adapted to meet the diverse needs of clients and evolving healthcare environments. I thrive on new challenges and value both my personal growth and development through my experiences, as well as learning from others. I’m excited to begin this new journey as an expert witness, looking forward to the opportunities it will bring, as well as meeting new people and building new professional relationships.
